You've seen them, they quickly register and then reply to random posts with vague sentences of loose or no relation to the subject at hand.
We know what they DO, but we don't really know why, how, or who they are.
Are these accounts actually run and used by real people who only interact with AI? What's their goal? What kind of people or organizations are responsible?
I'd love to hear your theories.

Dunno. I remember a bot came to one of my threads and started blabbering on about Geometry Dash with a link and all that. It's probably a way of the creator to get money or something, idk

Geometry Dash? Link? There's this one site that hosts a copy of Geometry Dash and lots of stolen content. The .io site. Is that what you're talking about?
If that's it. That's probably the people running the site trying to advertise it.

I can't believe that I'm not the only one who has this problem! I've seen at least 10 of these ChatGPT clowns since, like, last month. It's getting out of control imo. Why are the mods/admins just letting them in? I know peoples' accounts have to be approved before they post or whatever.

I think the best thing that we can do is to just report them to the mods and have them remove their posts to the thread, instead of complaining about the bots posts or making jokes about them (as the latter can often lead to derailing the topic of a thread more than helping it).

Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.

On one hand, yes that should be the case. On the other hand, they could be like a hydra: take 1 down, 5 of them would appear to take its place.

Not much we can really do to do stop them as it seems, either.
