I think I may bring a new big search to the table.
I've just recently heard about Pokémon Live, a stage show running from September 2000 to January 2001. I've heard about this via a YouTuber named Chadtronic. The only contact I could find was Chris Mitchell, who was the production stage manager. He's actually given the script to a website named pocketmonsters.net and has actually uploaded footage of the show, although poor and far from the set. Wikipedia also has an article for it, and it's not shoddy. This was actually planned for home video release in mid-2002, but has since never happened.
This is all I could find: if anyone can help out, this may be a big one.
Huh. I've heard about this as well, had no idea there was no footage of it, though. Sounds really promising. Not everyday we can uncover something on Pokemon! I'm in. Any plans?
This is all stuff that was in Chadtronic's video, but this interests me as well. If it was planned for home video release, does that mean that a high enough quality recording was made? Do we know who was going to make the videos? They might have it somewhere.

Wait a minute, I do remember coming across a video of some clips for Pokemon Live. Let me find it.

Ha I love this kind of stuff and joined the site just for this. I went to that show. I wish I recorded it or something but at my age I wasn't thinking that way.
The only I remember about it was an exploding voltorb, ash/misty/brock overacting, and the MechMew2 card that came with the ticket. I can take a picture of that if anyone is interested but I remember it being super warped from the material it was made out of
Not sure about the rest of the ADWSS crew, but our next big search was going to be Pokemon Live and I think I'm ready to tackle it.
So the goal of this search would be to get the HQ, professionally recorded release of the show that was slated for home media release in the early 2000s.
We know for a fact that a high quality version was recorded (in Chicago I believe) at one of the last shows.
Allegedly, it's "lost" at Pokemon's headquarters, but I'm assuming Pokemon didn't record it themselves, so someone from the show's production team must have a master, or even 4kids might know something about it (or at least the people who were with the company back then).
The actor who played Brock also might have some information, as he appeared in a promo advertising its home media release.
So contacting higher ups at the production company might be a good start. Chris Mitchell is out though as he already provided as much information as he probably can provide.
