Sonic cd has a scrapped zone called dubious depths which is called r2 by fans by the way the zones are called internally. It was an ancient ruins stage inspired by Marble zone from the first game. As for its music it’s confirmed that the song little planet youtu.be/aA93zsmmvbA?si=YSSIBKjVkrZDIBON is the present theme for the song the future themes are in a sonic album called Sonic the hedgehog remix. sonic steam is the good future version youtu.be/rjqAfniNQwI?si=Cg6DDt_vN-8DkhYC and in the techno power mix a clip of the bad future version is used youtu.be/tuvv0jFysk4?si=D7poLBME2IcvjgPz this just leaves the past version missing but there can be a chance that the bad future version is incomplete and that sonic stream is a remix so there can be a chance all the songs minus little planet are lost. But there is no evidence they exist so they can be fake

This scrapped zone is honestly still rather elusive in what it was gonna be like. We know it would've had somewhat of a Marble Zone resemblance, but otherwise it's a bit of a mystery.

i know about this level but i havent played it beaucuse its lost media. It's called R2/Debious Depths/Relic Ruins/ Dessert Dazzle (2011 only). But didn't match to sonic's speed.
I remember playing this game as a kid and seeing the map of Little Planet on the loading screen and wondering why on earth there wasn't a desert level like the map showed. Enjoy both tracks but i'm curious what the U.S. take on this level's soundtrack would've been.
