This was a video I saw on YouTube sometime in the past couple of years. It attempted to explain why Keith Urban doesn’t sing with an Australian accent. The video explained how the process of singing naturally neutralizes your accent and attributed Keith Urban‘s lack of singing with an accent to that. The video was not well received in the comments. There were many people pointing out that although singing does move your accent towards neutral, it is still possible to sing with an accent. I attempted to find it a while back just to read what people were saying in the comments section only to be unable to find it. I’m guessing it was deleted by the creator because of its poor reception. I don’t want to drudge up any negativity for the creator . I would just like confirmation from someone else who has seen it.
I remember it being somewhat in the style of Charles Cornell videos, but I don’t necessarily think it was him. It could’ve been a smaller channel mimicking his style, or it could simply be my faulty memory because it likely appeared on my feed around the time I was watching some Charles Cornell videos.
