A long stretch, but could it have been some sort of pilot/test project where they may have used a puppet like the scandinavian Skurt puppet, and tried to make a US version or something?
I searched this thread and couldn't find any previous mention of Skurt, so I hope I'm not just bringing up something already debunked.
He was fairly popular in Sweden and Norway in the 90s, maybe in Denmark and other scandi countries too, I'm not sure. I believe here, he had a female TV presenter/puppet handler/VA, but maybe someone tried to pitch something different in the US?
feels too far off, this frog wears clothes in these pics, but has no noticeable yellow belly... so I doubt this is it...
If this was vhs cd/dvd i have tons of dusty films and shows in my garage. From disney classics to just random bootleg shows.I haven’t went through them since 2017…ill do as best i can and sometime go through them. If i find something that might be informative ill contact you
it might be worth a shot, since chances are very high this is a physical media search, not digital...
I can’t believe we haven’t found any leads yet.. im actually starting to lose hope. These tapes probably don’t even exist anymore.
I mean look at how Clockman and Plug Man turned out, these types of searches happen every blue moon, and usually we've been able to step up, atp it's a matter of time and more importantly motivation to get this found
Can someone give a list of newspaper sites to check?
Most newspaper sites cost a subscription fee, although some libraries give their members free access. Places like newspapers.com, newspaperarchive.com, and proquest.com have fairly large collections. Unless you're talking about individual paper publications, which are less likely to have extensive archives of literally all of their articles. Places like the New York Times are unique in their digitized archive, and many websites with older articles will only have significant ones/editorials, and not television announcements usually.

oh yeah, I was just mentioning it to give it another point of view. Wasn't there someone who said they remember a red shirt or a red cap/hat? The clothes could be taken off this Skurt puppet too. I had a Skurt puppet (plushie) merch, and I dont remember what the body looked like under the clothes, but I've got it somewhere in the attic so I could always have a look. But the merch plushies were obviously just plushies, not puppets.
If we entertain the idea that it was either some home cooked show, or a pilot/test to a local TV channel or similar, they could have shopped around/traveled around and came across something outside US and wanted to make their own version.

I spread this around a bit on a live stream and on X, but so far it hasn't led to any new discoveries. One of the most common theories stated that it could have been a locally produced show. Do you remember if the tapes had packaging to be sold at retail, or were they just loose tapes?
I couldn't find any sold listings of anything that sounded similar on Worthpoint, so the tapes themselves must be very rare if they were actually sold somewhere before they ended up at the flea market.
I also saw someone in the Lost Media Wiki discord server ask for recreation images, which could help if people have a visual to compare the description to.
Lost kid show media is one thing, if an entire show is missing without any details about it, must have been a rare show.
Was this show by any chance just a home dvd release or was it a series to dvd kind of thing?
Hi Im Red! Nice to meet you! I Rarely search for lost media but when i do i dont do anything noticeable but i atleast do something, I am making a web series [CANCLED TILL LATE 2024-2025 FOR CONTINUATION]
