Oppenheimer, probably one of the best movies I've watched in recent memory. NOPE, recently watched it and it was really cool. I wouldnt rank it as high as Oppenheimer, but it was a great time. Pixar's soul I was worried would be generic, but it ended up making me almost cry multiple times. Spongebob Sponge over Water is a great successor to one of the most iconic cartoon movies and I personally even prefer it to its predecessor. Pokemon Violet saved the franchise for me, I had so much fun playing it and can't wait for Legends Z now.
When I went to see Oppenheimer I made sure to buy tickets to the showing labeled "parents with babies" but when the movie started I was told they weren't allowed to lower the volume/keep the lights slightly on because nobody came with a baby (they already did Oppenheimer before while I was on holiday and I guess everyone went the previous time?). Even with construction headphones I brought from home it was too much. I spent most of the time hyperventilating in the hallway and the way the auditorium was I wasn't able to watch through the window.
elden ring. never played a soulslike before. thought it was just another open world game. I was so wrong.
That's pretty wild for a "first franchise game," glad you liked!!! My partner constantly insists that I should start with the Demon Souls remake for my first "souls experience."
Rose of Versailles manga. Has a major following in multiple countries, just not in the states. I've been reading through the volumes that HAVE gotten an English release, and I have been impressed by the solid character drama and dialogue, interesting mix of historical fact/fiction, and solid pacing.
Last of Us 2 100%, absolutely mindblowing game no matter what its detractors say about it(might even go so far as to say it's my favorite game of all time). Cannot wait to see how the HBO show tackles it for season 2.
