I remember watching some parts of the movie in question on TV as a kid. I doubt this is actually lost media. It looked relatively high budget and not like some TV movie. But I am still curious as to what it was.
-It had a guy living alone in a house.
-It had one scene where a severed finger comes out of the toilet (gets tossed out of it?). The guy finds it, is confused, then throws it back into the toilet and flushes it. However, the finger comes back.
- Also, there was a scene where he goes into the bathroom only to see some ghostly looking kid (ghostly white skin) inside a bathtub of blood. This was meant to be a jumpscare IIRC.
Since as a kid, I was easily scared of horror movies, I quickly changed the channel after the latter scene.

That was interesting, but that's not it. Besides the story details not matching (the finger wasn't alive for instance, it was severed etc.), the one I am talking about looked like a movie instead of a TV show episode and had a darker, more serious tone.
i tried googling "the finger" and "horror" and I saw a bunch of shorts there. Are any of them yours?

None of them, from what I have seen. It was a feature length movie. And IIRC, the finger only showed up for that one toilet scene. The whole movie wasn't about the finger.
I think I watched it in the late 2000s to early 2010s (on TV, like I said).
I suppose the movie may be more obscure than I thought it was. Perhaps, it was a production from a non-English speaking, likely European country, instead of a USA or UK production. That would explain why it's hard to track down with English search keys.
