Red Letter Media discovers lost black & white Star Trek reel

In a video uploaded by Youtube channel "Red Letter Media" earlier tonight (7/3/2024) Rich, Mike, and Jay create a replica of the mask for the character "The Salt Vampire" from Star Trek the original series using the original mold which they purchased from an online prop store. The mold was purchased from the estate sale of a special effects artist & model maker who worked on the original Star Trek series named "Greg Jein." Alongside the mold of the Salt Vampire's mask was a black & white film reel. Mike Stoklasa investigated the reel on video, and could confirm it was film of the original Star Trek series. He could not tell if the film had any sound. According to Mike & Jay, the film was sent to a company to be digitized and sent back to them. If it is interesting enough, they may discuss it in a video. If not, it may be shared via a "watch along" on their Patreon.
