What is your comfort franchise?

For me its Looney Tunes and now Godzilla. It hard for me to watch older classic movies sometimes because I think about how my own writing will never compare to older media due to how I was raised, but for some reson when I'm watching a Bugs Bunny short or a Godzilla film I don't worry about how the pepole who made it are better than me. Maybe its because they both franchises lack pretentiousness. Im more familiar with Looney Tunes and even when they made crap like Loonikics Unleashed or Space Jam: A new Legacy, it didn't doom the franchise to endless discussion like with Marvel or Star Wars. Both Looney Tunes and Godzilla have creatives in thare commuitey that want to try new angles with the property. (In Looney Tunes case that's more so untaped potinchal as Warner Bros. have canceled most of the truly interesting ideas but The Looney Tunes show from 2011 is proof that pepole still care and are salivating to try new things with the characters.) Godzilla can be about nuclear warfare or natural disasters ect.
