I could swear that Claritin used to have commercials with a cover of the song "I can see clearly now" and possibly "perfect day" by hoku in the early 00s, but I can't find anything about this run of ads at all now.
why can't you? I found covers of that song on 10's of 20 ads for Claritin from the kids Claritin to the adult Claritin for I can see clearly now. But hoku never was in one

I guess maybe lack of good search terms lol. I am still figuring out how to phrase lost media searches

I’ve had a few of those "fever dream" memories myself. It’s wild how some things from our childhood can feel so vivid yet be so elusive when we try to find them again. Your FNAF themed cart ride game sounds like a unique and strange mix. Maybe someone here will remember it or have more luck tracking it down.

It's weird, because I'm sure there are pieces of "lost media" I've seen or heard that got amplified through my imagination/dreams. Like, I have vivid memories of them, but it's practically impossible for me to look for because it's been mixed with imagination.

An anti-SDI/"Star Wars" PSA in which a little boy is looking out a window singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and he is interrupted by a flash and an explosion. Beginning to think this never actually existed, as I can find no evidence of it online. Of course, Google has been rendered useless thanks to "search engine optimization," so all I get are a bunch of poor-quality Youtube nursery rhyme videos for kids as results. Then again, this screams "pulled from the air quickly on account of viewer complaints."

I think I saw an Shawn the sheep episode called “Wednesday” the beginning was there were massive bubbles in the air or whatnot, a sheep fell and another sheep which was on the ground, looks at him, and the sheep that fell, went back up again for some reason, that’s all I remember, it also scared me for some reason
Certain scenes from the 1998 movie The Parent Trap, like one where Lindsay Lohan's twin characters run into each other in the woods, and a different one where one of the twins throws up at a party.
I saw said scenes as part of a TV promo advertising the movie showing on a TV channel, but when I caught the airing (and even taped it), those scenes weren't in it.
Now several years later, I don't know if those were deleted scenes, I had seen a different cut, or they were scenes advertising a completely different movie.

Back in the spring of 2020 a promo of Ed Edd n Eddy popped into my head. It was about Ed being dressed as a piñata by being covered in sticky notes and hanging from a tree and Eddy was trying to get the other kids to hit him. In my mind it was something I saw at the tail end of the Powerhouse era (so like late 2003 or early 2004). I thought to myself I haven’t seen it in a while and tried searching all over You Tube for it and turned up with nothing. I’m almost certain I dreamed it up, even though it doesn’t have the surreal feeling that dreams have.
