I've been thinking about something like this for a while. Basically, I think that we should put together resources to help people with finding media. It would be a useful place for newcomers, less experienced members, and anyone who is looking for a bit of assistance. It could be on the main wiki or in the forums. Finding media can be a tricky process if you don't know what you're doing.
Things we could have are:
One other idea that would be helpful, but tough to implement, is some sort of assistance board. Sometimes, it's hard to get information because it's locked behind an account or only available in a certain country. This would be a 100% voluntary area where people could say "I have an account with XYZ Private Video Sharing Site" or "I can help with research in Mariposa, Ontario", and other users could contact them if they want help. People would be free to leave the program at any time, and would be free to reject an offer for any reason. (Too busy, not enough information, etc.)
I'm sorry if someone has suggested this before. I would be more than happy to put in the leg work to get this off the ground.

- Templates for introductory e-mails, letters, and phone calls
- A list of good databases/resources that might help people with their search
- A guide about torrents
- Best Practices for contact
