It's pretty damn good. Probably the best in a while.
Alright, so the first thing announced is a new Mario & Luigi game, and i'm like "This will be one hell of a direct already." The game looks really great graphically, and gameplay wise. It's Mario & Luigi, what can I say?
The next hype thing in the direct was Donkey Kong Country Returns remastered, but I didn't care. I had already owned the game for the 3DS, why would I buy it again?
Then, one of the highlights of the direct imo was Marvel Vs Capcom Fighting Collection. I blew my f****ng balls out, "I CAN FINALLY PLAY MVC2!"
And then after that blast to my berries was Super Mario Party Jamboorie and it looks pretty good. 110 minigames and 7 boards is pretty nice, and I get to play as a character I forgot existed before the direct NINJI!!!
But that wasn't it, as a new Legend of Zelda game came right after and holy s**t I get to play as Zelda. It also looks pretty good, might check it out.
And then came Stray. It doesn't look that good on the switch but my Xbox done broke so I'll take what I can get.
Then ya got Ace Attorney Investigations Collection. I'm not a big Ace Attorney fan, but the announcement was pretty hype, and now I wanna play an Ace Attorney game which is hype
And finally. The big one. METROID. PRIME. 4!!!!!!!! Never played a single Metroid Prime game but it was pretty hype I guess. Anyways 10/10 direct
Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom look really neat (and for the latter I'm not even a big Zelda fan), and I'm happy for all of the Metroid fans who were waiting for any news about Metroid Prime 4: Beyond for so long.
Super Mario Party Jamboree also looks pretty swell, but honestly I was more interested the first three. A Ninji being playable is really cool though.

Most of the first party games look cool! And can't wait for Metroid Prime 4 to come out! (I'm still waiting for a Bee Movie Game Switch Port to happened.)
Metroid Prime 4 looks cool and i'm glad they're finally following up on the teaser from part 3 and bringing in stuff from Hunters.
Never really got into the Mario and Luigi series so don't care about that and it's laughable that Nintendo is double-dipping with DKC Returns. I too already bought that on 3DS so i've got no reason to buy it again.
Stray I don't really care about to begin with and I care even less about it being on Switch.
Never really cared about Legend of Zelda but it is about fucking time a game in this franchise actually let you play as the character it's named after.
Anyway I love all the announcements and I am excited to get the newly announced games when they come out.
Also in a different thread I brought up that Pokémon reportedly may have announced a mini-channel on the BBC iPlayer for the Anime.Which is a bummer for me because I don’t have a VPN nor do I live in the U.K.
Tho Phantom Brave looks interesting, never played the other games in the series. I just don't like traditional JRPG and I might like the more tactical elements of it.
I am a bit curious about The Denpa Men game, it has a bit of a Tomodachi Life vibe to it.
I thought that the Nintendo Direct of June 2024 was pretty awesome in the game announcements and it doesn't disappoint.
Here were my favorite parts of the presentation:
Mario & Luigi: Brothership
It's nice to see a new installment in the Mario & Luigi series after its original developer AlphaDream went bankrupt in 2019. I love how it keeps the style of the original games (with Mario and Luigi retaining their black eyes instead of their standard blue eyes in almost every other Mario installment) and it looks very promising from the gameplay that was shown in the presentation. It definitely starts the Nintendo Direct on a high note and I can't wait for the game to come out.
Super Mario Party Jamboree
While I will admit that this game's title is very confusing (as it makes it sound like an expansion pack to Super Mario Party, which was first released back in 2018), the gameplay shown for the presentation makes it seem like it will have entirely new board game themes (I am particularly excited for the mall and race car boards), bring two boards back from the first and second game, and have an expanded playable character roster. I am particularly glad that Birdo (she is one of my favorite Mario side characters in the spin-offs) isn't relegated to a post-release update (with the exceptions of Mario Party Superstars and the Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft, where she is one of the skins available in the Super Mario Mash-up Pack) and will be available on launch. I can't wait to see the new minigames that will be on offer making use of both button and motion controls of the Joy-con.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
While I'm not much of a fan of Zelda, I think this game's presentation is very neat and well done. I think it's about time that Zelda finally has her own game and follow in the steps of Princess Peach: Showtime! (which I thought was a fantastic game and a highlight of Nintendo's 2024 release schedule).
Some honorable mentions:
Luigi's Mansion 2 HD: While its existence might be redundant to you if you already own the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, this game's presentation shows off the HD upgrades to the original game very well and might be worth spending money on again if you want to play it again in HD. I personally want to experience it again just for Polterpup alone.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: While I personally have no interest in purchasing this game, this presentation is still a highlight for people that are into Capcom's fighting games (which I have personally never played before) and its very nicely laid out with great features and extras.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond: Definitely worth being saved for the last part of the presentation. While I have never played a Metroid game before, this is still very exciting news for people who have been waiting for Metroid Prime 4 for a while and the gameplay looks promising.
The other presentations ranged from okay (like the Nintendo Switch Sports - Basketball free update (it's nice they're adding more content to the game for free, as Basketball was one of my favorite sports to play in Wii Sports Resort), Nintendo World Championships - NES Edition (it's nice to know that it's more than just speedrunning NES games), and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (unlike with LM2HD or Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, it didn't show much upgrades from its original release on the Wii) to games that I really didn't care about (like Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports, which I don't have very high hopes for due to being published by GameMill Entertainment as they're responsible for publishing shovelware games like Skull Island: Rise of Kong and The Walking Dead: Destinies on the Nintendo Switch and other platforms).
Overall, I will say the presentation is worth my time, and despite a few bad presentations, I think the great ones outweigh the bad or mediocre ones. The games I can't wait to buy the most are Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Super Mario Party Jamboree, and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD (as well as wait for the free Nintendo Switch Sports Basketball update).
Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.

Yeah, I didn't care that much about Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports either.

Looney Tunes game is mid and L for having L Mid Fudd
L Mid Fudd sounds like a One Piece name and very close to my name
It's my insult for him when I want to fit in with the fandom, which is often anti Elmer. I rarely see an fan who is over 18 and won't bash or ignore Elmer.

"Anti-Elmer" would be a good band name.
I'm nothing but a mass of concrete yet my heart is calling my name
