People who make any kind of food or drink their entire personality weird me out in general.
Really? I've complained about people who make their hobbies and many immutable characteristics their entire personalities, but food/drink? Can you give me an example of it that you have seen?
A furry with eclectic tastes who loves the 80s and 90s. Mostly 1984-1992.

My ex girlfriend tried to make Mac and cheese her personality. It's hard to explain how she did it. Friend of mine made Pepsi his personality by acting like a shill and would bring up Pepsi all the time even in inappropriate situations.
I'm nothing but a mass of concrete yet my heart is calling my name
Nickelback is in no way, a good band IMO. But were they the worst band ever? Or even the worst rock band ever? Absolutely not. They're just generic rock, and not particularly "atrocious" or offensive. They're just white bread rock that can be played as a "functional track" on some generic pop/rock radio station that your aunt puts on at her office.
Again, I don't find them particularly or specially offensive. Except for Photograph. Which I most CERTAINLY find offensive. LOL.
I happen to really like them personally, they have some really good songs. Though their last album was a bit of a letdown for me as while the singles were mostly solid, the deep cuts were a real mixed bag("Just One More" is probably the worst song they've ever done, not a great way to end the album).
I especially love Lullaby as that one gets me legit emotional and I've seen so many stories from people whose lives were saved by that song.
I love Photograph myself, not as good as the Def Leppard song by the same name but still good in it's own right.
Another hot take of my own-I never understood the all the hype behind Minecraft personally, that's one franchise I've been perfectly happy to ignore. The fact that it's own creator turned out to be a real shitlord makes me glad that's one fandom I never got into.
Also never got into the hero shooter trend(of course the only one I actually liked-Battleborn got shut down), Overwatch bored me as a game, sure it's produced some good fan-works but that's in spite of the actual games not being very good at all with their terrible business models. Fortunately this is one case where the rest of the general public seems to have finally caught up with me with the sequel(if you can even call it a sequel frankly)getting massively review-bombed on Steam.
Also speaking of Gearbox I think Borderlands 3 has a legit good story and is a very funny game and I happen to like the new characters.
Yeah I was honestly WAY too old for Minecraft by the time it blew up, and I'm just not big on building too much in games. Heck, while I did like Legos as a kid, any "building/customizing/fusing" mechanic in modern games has to be tied in with a "hook" like a solid linear story or useful armor/weapon upgrades for me to personally "like" it.
I have been playing Children of Mana, which I've liked, but I can't make head or tail of the gem system in that game, and never got that fusion mechanic thing in Final Fantasy games (my partner got really into it though). Same for Trials of Mana-I basically had my partner take the reigns on those skills upgrades and class changing mechanics.

At my workplace, it's that whey protein/powder/pre workout stuff, energy drinks, etc. People make a bizarrely big deal out of them. When I was in high school, people defined themselves by drinking Arizona iced teas or other "hip" or "expensive" products.

Same, I don't care for games that focus a ton on building stuff. Like many I was turned off when Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts went all in on that stuff for it's vehicles. I don't mind it so much in Fallout 4 with the town building stuff. At least there it's an optional fun little thing you can do in between missions and as far as I can remember you don't have to do it to finish the campaign(if i'm wrong please correct me it has been quite some time since I played Fallout 4 last). Also I don't mind the mech-customization in the Armored Core series but that's about as far as it goes for me.
For another hot take I really dislike the term "guilty pleasure" as that implies you should feel bad for liking something just cause the critical consensus for it is kinda negative. I personally feel zero guilt for enjoying things not liked by the average person.
Here's a web comics one-Ctrl Alt Del is nowhere near the worst thing ever, I truly will never understand the hatedom for that comic(while we're at it I didn't totally hate the animated series based on it either, it looked cheap sure but honestly it looks better then some shows that actually aired on TV NGL and it actually made me laugh a couple of times)"Loss" wasn't even that bad. Sure you could argue CAD was a bit out of its depth trying to tackle that sort of subject matter but i'll give it credit for at least trying something different compared to other webcomics. Especially Penny Arcade who I can't recall ever trying something like that. Speaking of which I don't think PA is nearly as clever or funny as a lot of people think it is, for every good comic there's like six duds(don't even get me started on the Dickwolves thing, lost a lot of respect for the PA guys over how they handled that whole debacle). I've honestly laughed more at CAD then I ever have at PA. Hell I even pledged on Kickstarter for that CAD Omnibus book with the alternate ending to the main series(which I have since sold off).
Carlos Mencia is far from a bad comedian despite what detractors say, honestly he's one of my personal faves(boy do I miss Mind of Mencia). Also never found Louis C.K. remotely funny(and considering the MeToo revelations about him I dodged a major bullet there) and I don't think Conan O Brien was a good fit for the Tonight Show so I wasn't upset about Leno(who i'd love to see host the Oscars someday) coming back like a lot of folks were.
I prefer Persona 3 AND 4 to Persona 5. Persona 5 felt like it had TOO much going on in the storyline/characters/themes for me to get as invested in it as 3 or 4.
