The fact that Cyberchsse is still getting new episodes as of this year. I always thought that it got cancelled around 2011 or something until like 6 or so years ago. It even outlived Arthur!!
It was cancelled back in like 2009 and then it got revived several years later. I'm especially surprised it's still going considering the tragic death of Gilbert Gottfried. I can't imagine the show being the same without him. I haven't even looked up clips of the new episodes yet as i'm worried about Digit sounding off and it being distracting, it was enough of an adjustment getting used to Buzz's new VA after his original actor died back in 2007.
It's already 31 years old at this point. My sister and her friends were really into it around 1994 and she even made a scrapbook of Power Ranger's stickers, magazine and newspaper cut-outs, and anything related to Power Rangers.
What's even more surprising to me is that a number of the later seasons are actually considered "good" and even better liked than Mighty Morphin!
People still play Soul Caliber 6 like crazy at gatherings/parties in my friend group, when the game itself came out in 2018. Not just play it, but they get REALLY into it, the way other people get into Smash.

Honestly, while certain types of videos have long been out of fashion (prank videos, many skit videos, most creepypasta etc.), it's surprising to see that random list videos have stuck around as much as they have. WatchMojo is still around, I still see tons of those "top 5 lists" in my recommended, etc. I guess lists are too eye-catching and "curious" to ever go away. And like you mentioned, they still do pretty good, if not GOOD, views :0
I'm giggling at the idea that streaming services are becoming so expensive they are almost equally or surpassing the cost of basic cable, causing folks to "cut the cord" again on subscriptions. I for one have always preferred DVDs and physical media in general. So yeah, I can't believe that cord cutting is still around, in a sense.

I agree, it's WILD. I suspect my own family keeps cable around specifically because of the streaming nonsense.
I was trying to watch a SINGLE movie on Paramount Plus the other night. The streaming quality was abysmal, and on top of that, I had to restart it MULTIPLE times just to get through the whole thing. ONE single movie! BITE ME, Paramount Plus.
I think that peak streaming is upon us, unless there is some type of major shakeup in the industry.
2 things that amused me recently were Disney looking at creating "channels" again, and Tubi surpassing Disney+.

TBH, I'm subscribed to SO MANY CHANNELS at this point, I'm glad to see my favorite Youtubers take longer breaks and try to focus on "quality over quantity." I can barely catch up with everyone as is! So you go and take that nice long hiatus if you need it!~

People started to boycott Netflix over pricing. I wonder how expensive pricing can get on other platforms before things are further boycotted. I use Disney Plus and Paramount Plus because i actively watch stuff on both platforms, but even I have had to "downgrade" to ads (ironically they are almost the same price as the original ad free versions).
