Ok so I don't know if this is the correct board to post this, so if it's not then I apologize
Also, do not confuse with Civil War 2 #0
So here's the deal: You probably already heard about Civil War, considered one of the best comic books ever made, written by the legendary Mark Millar and illustrated by Steve McNiven, either because you're a Marvel fan (or just comic books fan in general), or because of the relatively recent movie Captain America: Civil War, which is a loose adaptation of this comic.
With that said, Civil War consists of 7 issues (without counting precuels and secuels and all that), which eventually were compiled into one single volume, so far, so good.
But here's the thing, something that a lot of people doesn't know: There's actually one more issue: #0
I'm 100% sure this #0 issue exists, but there's very little information available on the internet about it, here's a picture of the cover art:
The text translates to "The definitive introduction to Marvel's most important event in history"
Piecing together the very limited info I've been able to find, this is what I came up with:
This #0 issue is exclusive of Spain and Latin America, I believe this mostly because I haven't been able to find a single pic of the cover with that text in english, nor any english-speaking website or forum or anything talking about this issue, also I've found several websites which sell the issue (though all of them say that they're out of stock) and all of them are spanish-speaking websites
Apparently, this issue was distributed by Panini Comics in Spain (like the pic I left) and Editorial The Comic in Latin America (or Central America at least, not sure about Mexico and South America). I can't even find a picture of the Editorial The Comic version, so I assume this one is even more rare
What does this fabled #0 issue has? Nothing huge actually, this is a summary of its contents:
- The first 7 pages of Civil War #1 (Those about that weird reality show before the big explosion)
- A prologue explaining the whole situation regarding the registry for all super-powered individuals and all that stuff, accompanied by a bunch of concept art and sketches
- A brief biography of every major character (Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Runaways, S.H.I.E.L.D., Young Avengers, New Avengers, Nitro, Fantastic 4 and X-Men)
Now, for what I've been able to find, apparently both versions have some exclusive content from one another. The Panini Comics version apparently includes exclusive interviews with the staff and a "How Was It Made?" with Tom Brevoort and Joe Quesada
As for the Editorial The Comic version, there's nothing much to say really. You see, in Costa Rica, there is an annual geek convention called Hero Fest (I don't know if the same Hero Fest is held in other central american countries), and in one year, I don't remember which one (I believe it was 2013, but don't quote me on that), they were giving away a copy of Civil War #0 to each attendee, so the first page contains info about this event (date, place, etc), the second page contains a special thanks from Editorial The Comic, and finally the back cover is just the promotional poster of Thor: The Dark World (or Thor: Un Mundo Oscuro in Latin America)
So piecing everything together, it seems like the Panini Comics version has more stuff, probably more pages, it could even be a big volume
Alright, after aaaaall that information comes the main question: What the hell is this? I mean, why is there so limited info about it? Why every website which acknowledge its existence says that they're out of stock? Why I can't seem to find any english picture or english whatever about this? Why is everything in spanish? Could it be that I'm right and this is a spanish-exclusive issue? There's no info about it on Marvel Database, on Wikipedia, not even on the official Marvel website, I could only find a extremely brief mention of this issue on the Wikipedia spanish article of Civil War, and even so, there's not a lot of info about it in spanish websites, and nowadays, thanks to the movie AND to Civil War 2 #0 (Which, unlike this one, was widely distributed), is even harder to find any info regarding this piece. So what is this Civil War #0 issue? Anybody knows? Has anybody even heard about it?
For reference, I'll leave the Panini Comics page where you can buy it (even though, like I said, they seem to be out of stock, and it's been like that for quite some time now)

Also, here's the Civil War: The Complete Event section of the official Marvel website, as well as the Marvel Database Civil War article, where, as you can see, there's not even a mention of it:
