My memories of these videos are fuzzy, but when I was little, my teacher showed us some educational short films featuring muppet-like puppets. The point of the videos was to teach kids about respect and responsibility. I think each video was about a half hour long, but I’m not sure.
The few things I remember about them:
1. The boxes for the tapes were labeled “Respect” and “Responsibility”. I don’t think there was anything else to the titles, unless I just couldn’t see it on the boxes from where I was sitting.
2. The videos primarily focused on a little girl puppet being rude, and eventually being taught to be nicer.
3. In one part of the “Respect” video, the girl puppet is yelling at the other puppets. One part, she says something like “YOU GOT THAT?” and one of the other puppets says “no I don’t got that”.
4. I don’t remember which tape it was from, but one part involved the girl puppet talking to a live action man and being rude. I’m pretty sure the man was supposed to be a talking statue. There’s one part of the conversation where the man says something like “ow, you hurt my feelings”.
That’s pretty much all I can remember about these videos. I can’t find anything about them online, and I don’t know if there were more videos in this series aside from these two. If anyone could possibly find anything about them, or if anyone remembers them, that would be great.
