I think this is the right board to put this in, if not, it can be moved
I stumbled across this 11 year old video a few months ago on YouTube about a mysterious song with no artist or title attached to it, I really liked the song and wanted to see if I could identify it after 11 years, but had no luck, and after going to WZS AND r/lostwave with dead-silence in return, after 2 months I’m now here because I really think this a cool song and I like it a fair bit, and would like it to be identified, does anybody know what this possibly is?
According to the OP of the original 11 year old video, they found this song in their iTunes playlist under the name “Track 01” and no other info attached seemingly, and they think this might be a band from Tallahassee in the late 90s/early 00s And they uploaded another unknown song that seems to be from the same band on their channel too (just click into the channel on the youtube url to see the second one), and they revealed that they found another copy of this first song on an unlabeled CD, so that explains why it was on iTunes unlabeled then, because it was dumped to it most likely.
Also, I wrote down what I think the lyrics are (from what I could make out) and this is what they might be: “Lately, I’ve been finding memories, of a different place in time,
Where I sought out […], when I still grew my lines.
Like fireworks on pavements, the pointless endless drives
[…] fragile face, and […] from inside.
Wrapped in my […], Who resent us killing time,
’Cause we believe in nothing, so I tried.
(epic solo)
Yeah, after just two months in the service,
What do I return to find?
A wolf who’s crying boy,
Stealing bread that’s yet to rise.
And although I have no opinion,
somehow I’ve still seen the […]
That I am not your anything
And you are not mine.
When […] limbs are broken,
And a […] attempts to fly.
You said you didn’t love me,
But you tried.
But you tried,
Yeah you tried.
(epic solo)
Yeah you tried.
[…] tried.
Knock off the consolation prize.
You tried,
You tried.”
