i remember a girl in my dance class showing me this game on her ipod, it was a fnaf type game where you can check the cameras and make sure nothing gets into your office but unlike fnaf you could see the characters walking around the rooms. it was very basic animation and they could only walk back and forth but when you were jumpscared i believe it was just a picture and wasn’t animated. in the office there were two doors parallel to eachother and if you were quick you could trap the thing inbetween the doors b4 it jumpscared you. the places you could look at with the cameras were every characters bedroom, hallways, and the dining hall.
I can only remember three characters though i feel like there was more. there was a girl with long black hair, a bigger guy who was a possibly a butcher, and a clown. I remember there was a lot of lore like the girl who showed me the game knew a lottttt which makes me think it was an orginal property though the quality and vibe made it seem like a knock-off. I specifically remember the black haired girls backstory; she got possessed or went crazy and killed/hurt her mom and then got knocked out(?) she woke up in the back of a truck and was being driven to an asylum.
I also remember one of the characters having a thing about parties? like they kept him sane or the opposite? i’m not quite sure but the dining hall area was decorated in dreary streamers and such for him specifically.
i remember seeing an ad for the alice: madness returns art book in the back of a pvz comic and getting suuuuper freaked out because i was like “that’s it! that’s the scary game!” this was at most a year after seeing the game i dont know if the game was actually alice related or if i just thought it looked like the game. there is a chance the game was a knockoff or unlicensed alice game? idk
I remember all this because it scared me to the point of nightmares as a kid! but that doesn’t mean much bc i was scared of everything. another thing i thought i’d add is there’s a chance the girl who showed me the game could have been lying about the lore or making it up herself since again the game seemed like a not very obvious knockoff of something else. thank you for your time!!
