I was researching rare/ weird Spongebob merch when I found this post on Reddit asking people about rare SB mech they owned.
One user writes about "a figure of spongebob with a screen on it, the device has the episodes squeaky boots, mm and bb, sandys rocket and opposite day in it"
Has anyone ever heard of this? It may be a bootleg...

go on the subreddit and ask the original poster about it.
I’m interested in knowing what this figure is also. The closest thing I could find is this figure made by Vtech, although it doesn’t play episodes and is just a clock with some built-in games.
EDIT: Apparently it was given out to newspaper readers. But I doubt that and they probably meant magazine. It also only came out in Turkey around 2014-2015 with a copyright stamp of 2011 apparently. The VTech version came out in 2009
Nice! Honestly the bootleggers had a better idea for this figure than Vtech did, as being able to play episodes is a lot more of a cool novelty than just being a clock with some games.

That thing's kind of cool. The tech inside is obsolete, but it probably has a lot of room inside and already has an opening for a screen. It could easily be turned into some sort of gaming handheld. If only it was a little bigger, I might try cramming an SNES board in there.
