There was a series of cartoon shorts about a yellow dog and a big round blue thing (which I'm pretty sure was also a dog) who were best friends, it played on either Teletoon or YTV from sometime around the mid 2000s, I thought it was called Martin & Meatball, but searching for that yields no results.
I'm relatively sure it was French Canadian, either part of a show that consisted of shorts, or they were just standalone shorts used as filler in between episodes of actual shows, kind of like the Adrenalini Brothers.
The show had an artstyle that consisted of relatively simple shapes and colors, but sometimes implemented a collage style.
The characters spoken in gibberish but had speech bubbles that showed what they were talking about.
Some scenes I remember are:
One of them imagining a dancing potato (a collage style cutout of an actual picture of a potato) wearing an irish hat.
One episode where they go ice fishing.
A scene where they are captured by other animals and put in a zoo, and someone throws peanuts at them.
The biggest thing I remember is the beginning of an episode, where they're playing on a see-saw and the yellow dog somehow gets launched off and he flies into space, knocking a satellite out of orbit, and then later some Russian bears come looking for it and they just keep saying "Sputnik!"
I might be getting it confused with another series of shorts but I think every episode may or may not have ended with an end card that said "fin"
