Ladies & Gentleminions, thoughts on Despicable Me 4?

Spot on description of 2 for me. "Goodish," but not great and definitely not amazing for me personally. I do still like enough about it to rewatch it if it comes on TV though. The 3rd unfortunately, I just can't think of a lot I like about it. I don't really even remember it!

(Is it bad that I actually enjoyed the 3rd movie? Not as good as the first, but still.)

Unrelated, but i’ve actually seen one clip from a demo reel with Al Pacino’s voice intact.

Not trying to be rude, but um……. Safe to say they dodged a bullet there. Just from that one clip alone, it felt like he felt as though he was just voicing some goofy cartoon villain without realizing he was supposed to act threatening.

I’m sure he’s a great actor and all, but from that one clip alone, it’s safe to say Benjamin Bratt gave a much better performance.

Yeah, I loved the concept of the trend, but Jesus, those people vandalizing the theater were just ruining it all. I remember those days very well. 

(I did not appreciate how a lot of people acted like us “smartphone zombies” were at fault 100%. Like bruh, throwing bananas at the screen wasn’t the original plan, some assholes just decided to do it to be assholes, it doesn’t mean the trend itself is dangerous, or even bad.)

Anyways, with my irrelevant venting out of the way, I think the trend should 100% return….. and hopefully they are TRUE Gentleminions, as in they don’t go apeshit. At least save the cheering and dancing when the movie ends and the lights turn on, and instead of throwing bananas like absolute madminions, just offer them to other theatergoers when the film ends.

For reasons I'll be monitoring this thread and will lock it if certain stuff is brought up. Certain taboo topics are not to be mentioned.

Anyways, am I the only one who was a little disappointed the Gentleminions trend didn’t return for this film’s theatrical debut?
