MeTV will soon be launching a spin-off channel called MeTV Toons on June 25th which according to the press release is said to be like "Cartoon Network in 1992 times 100" so that means there's a very good chance we're going to see some lost media turn up as a result, not just WB stuff either, apparently they are going to be reaching deep into the animated vaults of companies like Sony and Universal and many others. Jerry Beck has hinted that this is only the tip of the iceberg and that there's even bigger plans to come(maybe an airing of Rock Odyssey and uncut airings of of the restored Tom and Jerry shorts that were planned for the cancelled Volume 2 Golden Collection DVD?).

Tremendously excited about this, just imagine the possibilities of what could be found-the computer colorized versions of certain LT shorts, Little Clowns of Happytown, Turbo Teen, Wolf Rock TV, Kidd Video, Camp Candy, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Power Masters, The Comic Strip, Monster Farm, Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action, Teamo Supremo, etc

This channel is going to available everywhere for free so if I were you i'd get ready to start recording.

And thing is universal dosent just own stuff like Woody Woodpecker,they (through DreamWorks/Classic Media) own the libraries of UPA,Harvey Films (Casper and Richie Rich),Underdog,Most of Rankin Basses pre 1974 stuff,The Filmation library,Felix the Cat (though most of his early shorts have entered the Public Domain already,but then they also have the 1960 series),Some ties to the Jay Ward library and this is just some of their classic holdings.And for Sony they have the Screen Gems library (not counting the Hanna Barbera stuff,and even then WB is already involved),some of frederators stuff,tons of anime dubs (via Crunchyroll (formerly Funimation)), and the list goes on for both,and I’m not even listing things owned by WB,the possibilities for this channel are endless.

Well, MySpleen hasn't had invitations for a long time. But my larger point is that obscure media isn't necessarily lost, just not desired enough by the public to demand public release right now. If you message me about the episode you're looking for, I can check to see if it's there, though.

Alright,this variety article confirms stuff from other companies libraries such as Rocky and Bullwinkle (ending my Jay Ward doubt for the channel),Betty Boop,Woody Woodpecker (which if you’ve seen toon in with me makes more sense),Casper and even Speed Racer confirming that they are using anime from the Funimation library (Despite to my knowledge never making a dub Funi owns the U.S rights to the Original Speed Racer Series),Heck maybe if enough time passes something in the vein of 90s Toonami will start (Just an idea,one without AS can dream.),There is also going to be some original content produced by Animation Historian Jerry Beck,I’m not entirely sure what it is yet but I have a theory it may be something in the vein of Toonheads,I don’t really know though,they never state it yet knowing Beck’s resume it would make sense.Also Bob Bergen is going to be the channels “announcer” (in like bumpers and stuff),anyway that’s just a quick summary of more news about the station.

For the record, I do think the channel sounds great and I love the intentional tip to the early days of Cartoon Network. I'm not sure if I'll get it in my area but I'd definitely check it out (or even do recordings). MeTV has already been one of the more intriguing channels of the 2020s to me thanks to airing classic cartoons over antenna for the first time in years. Flintstones and Looney Tunes on free TV just feels right.
