Odd animated short involving escalator (2004-06?)

So i remember going to something when I was young, possibly some sort of film festival, and seeing this weird animated short, which I initially thought was made by pixar, but have come to doubt that over the years. Anyways, the short started our with a title card, and a shot of a man on an escalator. We then see a businessman and his son step into the building where the escalator is, and place the son in the elevator. The elevator the man is trying to climb, however, is going down instead of up. So, he tries to ascend the escalator several times, always in slow-motion with dramatic music playing, but every time it ends with him hillariously falling back down. The only other part I remember is where at one point we cut back to the kid in the elevator, who presses all the buttons on the elevator, a la Elf, and somehow causes the elevator to break and fall. If any of you have any clue what this could be, please help out!
