Me and a friend were looking at a sizzle reel for Klasky Csupo from 2007. While the video starts by talking about many of their finished projects, it later dives into several intersting pilots produced over the years that didn't get very far. To me, the pilot that stands out the most is "Kevin's Kitchen" which is using a specific art style that should be familiar to anyone who knows the company. The character designs use the eyes and mouths of Klasky Csupo's Splaat face used in it's logo combined with a collage/cutout type of style and live action backgrounds. I haven't been able to find clear information on what this show was supposed to be about.
The announcer describes the show as "cooking tots with knives". and the clip features a mother serving food to 2 kids named Kevin and Mcneil, and their dog named Boomer jumps at the table whimpering. (https://youtu.be/6tHtM-I-58Y?t=494)
The pilot appears to look much older than most of the pilots shown in the video. IMDb claims it was made in 1995. directed and produced by Arlene Klasky herself with a cast list that includes Chris Carter, Pam Dawber, Peter Onorati, and Haley Joel Osment. with Music by Charles Sydnor and Casting by Barbara Wright. I don't know where this information comes from, but it could have been put on the website by someone who worked on the pilot.
The only other interesting thing I was able to dig up was a song demo posted by Josh Mancell on soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/joshmancell/kevins-kitchen-pilot-demo). I found this fascinating to see, knowing Josh Mancell worked on the soundtracks for the old Crash Bandicoot games as well as Clifford the Big Red Dog.
I'm not very active in the lost media community myself, but I'm extremely interested in this for the fact it's basically the precursor to the logo of the company itself that took the internet by storm. and I really can't find proper information. I'm not the first to bring attention to this but still want to post here to see if anyone is as curious.
