The unfortunate news of the Production Company, Primal Screen shutting down in May, is honestly a devastating news to us fans.
Keep in mind, this company produced Television commercial content for Cartoon Network, mainly for Boomerang, the launch of Sprout, and some various PBS Kids content over the years.
I'm here to discuss possible theories of what we could honestly get out of this shutdown.
What if they did an auction of their production stuff to the public?
Now, I personally don't know ANYTHING on what they used for mastering their production, but here's my theories on what we could see:
Again, this is just a theory if they do one.
My thoughts on the closure is honestly sad, but I hope that we don't get full on discloser of access of this content, like being fully locked away in vaults we will never see.
Who knows? Maybe they will make their works Public Domain and have everyone be able to access these masters and such.
I want to know what everyone thinks about this theory. Is there something I left out? Let me know!

Now, I personally don't know ANYTHING on what they used for mastering their production, but here's my theories on what we could see:
- Videotape mastering, maybe for cameras or TV broadcasting media, like Betacam or U-matics (although those sound very unlikely really)
- Film reels (the good masters!) If these are, for example, 35mm, mastering for 4K and even 8K would be possible really. Seeing also original camera negatives of both video and pictures would also be nice too. (I see this example to mainly apply to Boomerang, as it would make since to use cameras for the film)
- Bonus production notes. Maybe some original scripts, audio tapes, or even unearthed concept art would be nice really for this
- An auction that is accessible. Private auctions would be fine, but I think us having ownership over the true masters would be honestly amazing for fans.
