I'm convinced that the people running thr internet archive don't want a lot of things to be archived given how a lot of Deviantart pages that were on there got deleted and finding anything related to other things like Twitter and YouTube is Shotty at best.

A lot of artists want their stuff gone for good so it's probably for the best

Thought I'd come back and give context. This was a message I sent to IA about the fact it wouldn't let me upload a Twitch stream (specifically one from BlueRyai.) They gave me the info about what I should do and basically said to wait until the stream was removed. I responded back and told them how Twitch streams are removed after a month, & they responded with this.
It is important to mention that this doesn't mean you can't put them on there. There are tons of Twitch streams on IA. But, it does show a side of IA I'm not happy with.
Seriously, I'm convinced and concern that Internet Archive is going to go under and everything that was archived will be lost forever and people are going to be force to create alternatives to be able to archive sites and anything else.

That's why monopolies are so bad. If that company goes down it can create a dark age that can last for years.
Honestly, people should be making alternate archive sites as it is, hasn't internet archive has already been threatened before? It'd be for the best..!

Hopefully we're prepared for the amount of archive sites to be like a hydra; you strike down one, 5 of them take their place.
Dreams are boundless, imaginations are infinite, space is a multi-directional spiral & Akazukin ChaCha is my favorite anime

They're not gonna go under and I can't say I blame them for this, frankly IA isn't a place I think of to go for Twitch stuff anyways, I usually think of people just uploading twitch streams to Youtube, like there's one guy that made a Youtube channel dedicated to all of TotalBiscuit's livestreams.

i think people are being way too paranoid about this sort of thing, IA isn't going anywhere.

I agree with most of what you said apart from the part they should go on YT instead of IA. YouTube has all kinds of different guidelines than Twitch so if VODs go on YouTube the uploader may have to cut parts out if it's even aloud on at all.

Only if they used like copyrighted music and Twitch is a lot more restrictive about that now then it was 10 years ago, i can't really imagine how something could be allowed on Twitch but not Youtube.
