(I’ll just save my opinion for when I get the chance to see the show. Not too promising so far, but best to keep an open mind. The animation looks great, I’ll give it that.)
Recently saw Nickelodeon's lineup of "new shows" on a Thread and was saddened to see it's basically all preschool shows. I think about a schedule from 2002 that would have had episodes of Jimmy Neutron, Spongebob, Fairly Oddparents, the Wild Thorberrys, and Invader Zim. A great variety of shows that could be enjoyed by a variety of ages. Am I saying "delete all these shows?" No, but like, where's the stuff for 8-14 years old to enjoy anymore??? I know streaming has good stuff and not too many kids watch traditional cable TV anyway but still.
I actually think The Loud House is good. I like The Casagrandes more tho.

Yeah but at least Casagrandes is cancelled and therefore can only be milked by Nick via movies, spinoffs, merch, and episodes in The Loud House. They are constantly milking Spongbob Squarepants every since the 2004 movie dropped since the show was supposed to end, but it only really got bad once the mid 2010's arrived and the more obscure cartoons like Sanjay & Craig were nearing their end or ended. The only live action that was not ending or lasted only 1-2 seasons (excuse me if I miss a live action show) were Henry Danger and Power Rangers, which had been on the channel since 2011 and only left last year, making Power Rangers the ONLY other live action show on Nick to last as long as All That's original run. That did not leave Nick with a lot to work with, so they decided to keep on milking Spongebob. The milking of Spongebob is the only reason I was able to get into both The Loud House and The Casagrandes as I needed a break from the sponge and the already dead Fairly OddParents would not work, but I wanted to still watch Nick. Sorry for ranting.
I'm of the mindset that the show could have worked WAY better if the main character was a fangirl of Velma and Mystery Inc. solving her own murder mystery.
I just don't understand how somebody can make what is effectively a conservative's stereotype of a "woke cartoon" and then get surprised by the backlash.
I am convinced that nothing good has come out of American adult-oriented cartoons in the past ten years.
We got Bojack Horsemen in 2014, but if we push it back to 2010 then we got Rick and Morty, Regular Show (yes it was on CN but cmon), Final Space, Primal (MADE BY THE GOAT GENNEDY TARTAKOVSKY), Unicorn: Warriors Eternal (Also made by the GOAT), Samurai Jack Season 5 (Do I have to say who made it), Murder Drones (We can count this right?), Helluva Boss, Hazbin Hotel, the Harley Quinn series, and Invincible.

I am of that group that likes The Loud House (or at least, multiple solid episodes of it) but the fact that it TOPPED Spongebob in ratings when only a very small number of shows could do that is at least something to be admired IMO. I'm sure everyone here knows about the "Spongebob curse" thing for new Nick shows, but TLH did its OWN unique thing, and still managed to grab the yoots' attention and get them into watching something NEW on Nick, which is pretty impressive.

Yeah I was going to put that in my little rant but I did not know how to put it into words. We gotta give congrats to TLH. The fact that it also got 2 Spinoffs (if we include The Really Loud House) and 2 movies is amazing for a modern Nick show. Hopefully Rock, Paper, Scissors manages to become another banger and Nick does not milk The Loud House for almost 30 years lol

Aw I didn't know that show got cancelled, bummer. I never got tired of SB myself as due not having cable I don't watch Nick live(haven't watched lived TV period in over a decade as once I found out I could watch shows online for free I no longer needed or desired cable)so i never really got subjected to overexposure of it.
I do resent Teen Titans Go for similar reasons only CN milked it FAR worse then Nick ever did to Spongebob and TTG actually crowded other far better shows and caused them to get cancelled. Plus it was disgusting how they used a Make a Wish kid as a shield against criticism of their show, that made me go from merely disliking the creators to outright despising them as human beings, like say what you want about other shows named on here, their creators at least never sunk that low to use a sick kid as a way to promote their own childish and petty feud against fans of the original Teen Titans(seriously if I was that kids family i'd threaten to sue the creators of TTG over that shit).

That's one of many reasons why I stopped bothering watching live TV over a decade ago, I can get an objectively better experience just watching new episodes online for free without having to wade through commercials and reruns to get there first.

I will admit I was being hyperbolic. But I think you might be the only person on Earth who actually thought Chicago Party Aunt was good.
