I have another one. The modern day Velma cartoon that should be classified as a crime against humanity.
I'm of the mindset that the show could have worked WAY better if the main character was a fangirl of Velma and Mystery Inc. solving her own murder mystery.

I just don't understand how somebody can make what is effectively a conservative's stereotype of a "woke cartoon" and then get surprised by the backlash.
I am convinced that nothing good has come out of American adult-oriented cartoons in the past ten years.
_alexpine_ on discord. 2018 was HOW many years ago?!?! 2 correct unidentified/lost media solves out of my probably hundreds of bad guesses isn't THAT bad of a track record, right?
Spongebob post Season 6. The longer it goes on the more worse it gets, Nickelodeon has bled it dry and needs to just kill it already. Then again, in the wake of the "Quiet on the Set" fall out, I think they are going to lean even harder on the sponge.
I think I would delete Spongebob right after Sponge Out of Water since I grew up with all the episodes post Spongebob 2004.
I actually think The Loud House is good. I like The Casagrandes more tho. I think people are more inclined to dislike a show if the fandom is crazy. I mean Steven Universe would not have so many videos on why it sucked if the fandom calmed down (it would still have a lot of hate but that comes with every cartoon).

I genuinely like that show and truly don't get the hate for it and I for one am pumped as hell for season 2.
Now Teen Titans Go is a show that I think absolutely should be deleted from existence as it has caused demonstrable lasting damage to Cartoon Network as many other FAR superior shows ended up cancelled to make room for more TTG and it hogs so much time on CN that it's made the channel unwatchable.

Strongly disagree it's not like that at all, and like it or not the show did really well in terms of viewers so none of that so-called "backlash"(much of which came from people who never even saw the damn show, like i'm sorry but there's no way all of those people giving it 1s on IMDB EVER saw the show)actually matters at all, that proves that the internet ultimately does not matter for TV shows, viewership does(Look at Yellowstone, biggest show on TV yet has very little traction on social media) and social media ultimately does not represent the vast majority of people.
Nah you're dead wrong plenty of good has come out of adult cartoons-Black Dynamite, Moonbeam City, The Inside Job, Bojack Horseman, Hoops, F is For Family, Chicago Party Aunt, Praise Petey, Grimsburg, The Great North, Captain Fall, Big Mouth(i'll die on that hill), Invincible, etc

Honestly I never got the hate for the latter Spongebob seasons, I enjoyed them quite a bit.
Eh Quiet on the Set ain't going to move the needle much on Nick IMO especially as more and more people are realizing how flawed and problematic that documentary is(I.E. glossing over Drake Bell's victims) hell Marc Summers said the producers basically ambushed him and took what he said completely out of context so that has me questioning a lot of things in that series.
Anyone thinking that Nick is going to pull any content over that series is kidding themselves IMO.

I sat down and watched several episodes of the show and I would still give it 1/10 stars. The only thing I liked was that the art and animation is decent and it sucks that their talents are wasted on this.
I honestly have zero issues with raceswapping the characters. But I agree that the show uses progressive buzzwords as a mask. A lot of the comedy comes off very demeaning (especially to minority groups), which is a very conservative way of writing comedy. It also feels like the writers hate teenage girls.

Mask my ass, didn't feel "demeaning" to me at all(you want demeaning try watching Life and Times of Tim, now that show was torture to get through)I really don't see the "conservative" thing at all, I think that's a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE stretch personally, I fail to see how it's demeaning to minority characters at all, if anything i found it refreshing they didn't make Norvile into a stoner(at least not right away)and it was nice to see an Asian character who wasn't super smart all the time.
I fail to see how the writers "hate teenage girls" that's just ridiculous, if you saw the entire show you would not be saying that I assure you.
