My suggestion is to take those "see also" sub titles:
And turn into these template index predefinitions:
It would optimize hours of time from the collaborators if they only needed to put the article in one of these predefinitions instead of in all of the "see also" around the several pages of the wiki. If they just needed to write {{pilots}} and {{Nickelodeon}} in place of going around copy-paste'ing the entire see also from the edit of other pages.

I believe I chatted with SenaUW regarding this about a year ago. From what he informed me, the LMW had introduced functional navboxes as an experiment back in May 2022.
The problem was several CSS modifications were required before they could be fully unveiled. These included (but are probably not limited to) making the currently viewed page unlinked in the template and bolded. If you look at the Supernatural template you shared, the reader is currently on the page "Ruby", which is bolded and unclickable. That's what the current template editors are trying to replicate.
SenaUW stated Dycaite and MediaWiki expert Anton were the only two users who could provide the appropriate fixes. With Dycaite, I haven't heard much from the LMW founder since our brief conversation back in 2021. Not sure what's happened, but I'd imagine he and Anton, whom I have never spoken with, are probably busy in real life. It is what it is, I myself have been busy with work and house-moving paperwork so I know how that feels!
So yes, I agree this is a much-needed addition to the LMW. Its absence has contributed to the Wiki's overall problematic navigation. As for when it shall be introduced, there are a few things one can do to perhaps quicken the process:
1: Donate to the LMW's Patreon, which one can do by clicking over here. Financial support certainly does help the Wiki's progress, but it can only go so far with £72.37 per month.
2: Alternatively, if one is already a trusted user on the Wiki and is competent with both CSS coding and the MediaWiki, I'm sure the LMW would greatly appreciate their expertise and availability.
3: Additionally, if MediaWiki allows this, can some trusted LMW users be assigned the Template Editor role? It is a user right on Wikipedia that enables one to modify high-risk templates (for instance, the InfoboxLost template, which provides the introductory infobox placed in each article). That would be quite useful in the improvement and maintenance of each template. Administrators inherit this user right by default I believe.
Something else regarding Template Editor is that it would be highly useful in restricting which users can create new Navbox templates. Back when I was editing Wikipedia, template editing was a heck of a lot more complicated than article writing was. Considering this, it might open a can of worms if any old iron was allowed to add these... especially when one considers the number of sub-par articles that are deleted on a daily basis!
Another issue is conjuring up a list of required navboxes, mainly to avoid redundancy. If these templates are introduced, I plan to make ones concerning football/cricket/rugby and one on boxing/professional wrestling/MMA/robot combat, to name but a few. This not only keeps things simple but introduces other topics that are of relevance. For example, I live in England, where we live and die the game of football, but also cricket and rugby. Hence, a football fan might have a decent chance of wanting to read about lost cricket and rugby media too. Likewise, combat fans may like all types of it, including robotic combat shows like Robot Wars and BattleBots. I think combining similar media would help greatly in terms of navigation and keeping a reader's interest up.

that looks really good. even if we just had a couple of index pages that function like this would make navigating the site so much easier. especially a videogames section.
