There was a book that was read to me in kindergarten about this alive sock monkey named socks. His human owner (whom I believe was female) was going to the beach and he went out of his way to try and get inside the car. But he was not able to get inside the car and so him and his stuffed animal friends ended up making their own beach day in the house They replicated it with activities such as going in the fish bowl for a pool. Searched for a few hours and can't find the book. I loved it so much when I was little that I named one of my stuffed animals off of the main character so I was disappointed when I couldn't find anything on it. Has anyone heard of it?

Tony Millionaire wrote a bunch of books and comics about a sock monkey. Some were for kids while others were more adult.
I also found a book called Rico the Brave Sock Monkey. It's a Golden Book, which were commonly read in schools.
Already saw Tony Millionare's books, they didn't match the art style or story I am looking for. Rico the Brave Sock Monkey isn't quite it either as the monkey is named Rico and not Socks. Thank you for helping, though.

No, I already saw that. But on of the main things I remember is the monkey was DEFINITELY named Socks, otherwise I wouldn't have named my sock monkey after them. Anything where the character is called Sock Monkey is not the book I am looking for.
