What’s the general consensus on doujin anime/films? Is there any interest in them? For anyone unfamiliar: a doujin film is essentially a Japanese independent fan film. I’m very interested in documenting and archiving ones from the 1980s/1990s, as they tend to be the most obscure. This topic is pretty niche, but is there anyone else interested in this specific section of media archiving?

Yeah 😭 I get that a lot, don't worry. Not all doujin work is NSFW, but I can understand why it has that connotation. I really enjoy archiving doujinshis that compile information on a particular subject, but saying that I "archive doujinshis" gets strong reactions out of people, lol.

It centered around Youmu and was apparently unfinished. I don't remember the name of it though.
