I’ll just need an ID, pack my things and get directions to the nearest station.
I’m so happy
Sorry, but at this point this isn’t the best idea
If something happens to you half of the forum would most likely be listed as co-conspiracitors and may get in trouble.I know this has already been listed but I just wanted to put it out there again. (But then again in my case I am legally a minor so things would be complicated for me if I posted any advice on this thread.)
You know what, you’re right.
I don’t even need an ID if I buy a ticket online in advance, if I’m correct.
Now’s probably a good time to note I won’t do this right away, but in the coming months I plan to. I want people to be aware of my sudden absence so they don’t think I committed suicide or smth.
I’ll take normal over Florida any day of the week. My plan is to go to any of the following states below:
Tennessee
New York
Massachusetts
Illinois
New Jersey
New Hampshire
Minnesota
Nevada
California
If you're going to move to a different state, don't go to New York or California. Those are the absolute two worst states to live in right now. There is a lot wrong with both of them, though one thing I can mention is that everything in both of them places is too damn expensive and way overpriced. If you have to go to a different state, go to Texas. Texas' economy is doing better than the rest of the country right now to the point that it could become its own country if the rest of America were to go down the toilet. Plus if you can eat a whole 72 ounce steak, a shrimp cocktail, a salad and a bread bun with a hour, you get a free meal and a trophy.
I’m kinda on the fence about Texas at the moment, because as amazing as the food and economy sound, I’ve heard rumors of the people there being racist, and the fact it’s in tornado alley.
I should have clarified, i’m not planning on staying in one select place for too long, i’m pretty much going to be a Nomad, traveling all over the continental USA, since I’ll probably never be able to afford a home.

Plus, one of my online friends live in Cali, so It’d be nice to run into them.
Anyways, just an update, one of our case workers are trying to get me sign out privileges (basically allowing you to head off foster care campus for the day), so here’s the plan:
Basically, at some point during the 2024-2025 school year, I’m going to head to the office and tell them I’m signing out for the day to spend it with some friends I made at high school, and if possible, lie to them and claim i’m having a sleepover, neither of which will actually happen (because why would I ever get to have friends in person or go to a sleepover at all, am I right?)
Sorry, didn’t mean to go on a small rant there. Anyways, that should give me 8-26 hours before they realize I’m missing, and the greyhound bus station is a 13-minute drive away, which equates to a nearly 3-hour walk. Hopefully I can get an Uber or someone is nice enough to offer me a lift, but best to be doubtful, because this is Florida. Barely anyone here is ever that nice. (A lot of the citizens here and people I know are actually pretty awful, unbearable people.)
Then the next step (hopefully our grandma helps me get some of my important documents like ID and stuff) involves me buying the ticket. I plan to go to a big city, because I know for a fact the police will be after my ass the moment the foster home I’m at realizes “oh shit, this kid ran away”, I want to give them as hard of a time as possible, and they’ll have a much harder time trying to locate me in New York City than they would in West Palm Beach.
All the following big cities i’m considering (not including Miami, since that’s in Florida, and south no less. The goal is to head northwest or northeast.)
Los Angeles
San Francisco
New York City
Boston
Chicago
Las Vegas
Thoughts on this plan?
