Okay, I should probably have you guys know that this isn’t a 100% guarantee, there’s a possibility something better will end up happening, and I don’t go inactive at all. I made this thread so everyone here knows of my absence just in case I do actually run away, and so I can get some advice for how to survive in the event I do.
Unfortunately, rent is skyhigh these days in America so it will take a while to save up with a minimum wage job. But I feel you, it is mentally draining and you just want to get out already. I'm currently living with my N-dad so I understand the situation.
Once you feel you financially prepared (at least 10k or more) you could stay with a roomie in a low cost of living area. Living with a stranger isn't for everyone but it's better than walking on eggshells when living with an abusive parent.
Definitely do research on the cities/states you plan to move to first. See what the economy is like and compare the cost of living. There are calculation sites that compare city to city like this one. www.bankrate.com/real-estate/cost-of-living-calculator/
Also make sure to research how bad the crimes are. Look up the pros and cons. Also also take your important documents with you. SSN, passport, birth certificate, and state ID.

Yes, definitely do this, you will need these and not having them is bad

Problem is, I have no “important documents”…. At least none I know of.

They may be hidden away or something,I only rediscovered my birth certificate recently when cleaning.
I’m honestly thinking of either trainhopping or hoping that (since I look like some disgusting discord mod) someone will mistaken me for a poor adult and buy me a bus ticket or smth.
do you have a bike or a skateboard or something? anything that can help you cover more ground quicker will help
Not really. I’ve never even rode a bike in my live. (Or even saw snow. Hell, I never even left this state until I was 14.)
You should probably try learning to ride a bike then, it’s useful (and also fun) If you can’t do that though, I guess public transport becomes your new best friend.
You do need to find your birth certificate and some other things though for sure, they definitely exist. You might be able to ask someone in the foster care system for it or something but I’m not sure
