Jailbreaking a system and piracy are totally different entities.
Piracy is illegal, meanwhile Jailbreaking is a gray area but is pretty much fine and won’t get you in legal trouble like 98% of the time

Also, if you got an SD card and a USB/Lightning to SD card reader, you can atleast jailbreak the 3DS with just a phone if I recall correctly (modded mine this way like 7 months ago, I’d read the entire guide first incase the method changed to where you can’t do this) Unsure about Wii U though as I haven’t modded that.

though apparently you can just do some alterations to DNS settings on the Wii U and pretendo will work albeit limited

I recorded lots of matches across the last 2 days of the servers being up! The servers didn't actually go fully down on Splatoon for about 20 minutes afterwards so a couple of matches are actually after they were meant to be down. I heard some people were connected to other players for hours after the servers were down but I wasn't one of them, I was already pretty tired of playing by the time they were meant to be down.

I wanna make a compilation video of clips but it'll take me a while I think, lots to sort through and I'm not very good at editing xD

No, that's not how it works. Online on 3DS/Wii U is no longer available.

oh, that's a relief. mine never worked in the first place because my parents forgot their parental restriction code after setting it up.
