In 2014, in collaboration with the release of X-Men: Days of Future Past, AXE Body Spray released an โAXE Limited Edition X-Men packโ. A commercial to promote this product was released, featuring the character Havok (played by Lucas Till) and two other unnamed mutants played by unknown actors. According to Yahoo, the commercial โshows Havok auditioning for a position in whatโs described as โThe X-Mansion,โ alongside two candidates whose powers donโt exactly match up to his ability to fire explosive energy from his body.โ
This commercial seems to be unavailable to view online. Articles about it were released, including one from The Hollywood Reporter that includes an image about the commercial, posting a link to a now private video. Very likely this was the commercial and it came from AXE Body Sprayโs official Youtube channel. Why they took it down is unknown, but itโs possible that they privated it due to the promotion being over. I checked AXEโs Twitter and Facebook, and couldnโt find anything mentioning the commercial.
This commercial would have aired in the spring of 2014, when X-Men: Days of Future Past released in theaters. If anyone has recorded commercial breaks from that time, it could possibly be in one of those recordings. Itโs also likely that this would have aired on FOX, as it would make sense for them to promote their own movie on their own channel. Iโm a huge X-Men fan, and as my username suggests, Havok is my favorite, so this commercial is a must find for me. If anyone has any suggestions or leads, it would be greatly appreciated. The fact that it was uploaded to the internet before makes me believe itโs still out there. Not to mention an image from it being available, and there being proof it aired.
