I was literally giving a fantasy scenario I never said its for sure happening.
we are discussing it. you've pitched a scenario and we are looking at it from all angles, including whether or not it would be worth conducting a search like that.
the answer is: it's not. because the chance of actually finding anything lost, and there's too many risks
these kinds of discussions are important in the lost media community as finding effective ways to find media before it's lost forever is important, but there are methods to finding lost media that are more efficient and have a better risk/reward outcome.
Has anybody tried to send a device like a drone to go into one of these buildings so they can look without the danger? Just curious.
most of the problems come with being unable to fully vett everyone who knows the location of the buildings. the moment an abandoned buildings location is public, it gets robbed and destroyed by vandals. we would be bringing so much attention to abandoned buildings that they will be targeted before we could even get there.
Also even if I was being legit its not an impossibility that could happen at disney, its highly unlikely but not impossible.
It's also highly unlikely but not impossible that my head will instantly transmogrify into a watermelon 5 seconds after I make this post. There is a non-zero chance for literally anything given infinite time.
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."
I do need to apologize for encouraging this topic cause I did realize even though there is no one to take potential lost media items, it is still considered theft cause despite the owner dying or whatever they probably didnt give permission for anyone to take their stuff so sorry yeah I should have taken that into account as well. Not to mention those items might be contaminated by diseases again sorry I was late in realizing that.
