Just curious is there any abandoned buildings that deal with film, tv, book, video game, music or even online media that are known to have just left their stuff there? Cause I have heard of a few instances where lost media was found in that method just people go there and pick it up for the taking.
the community of abandoned building explorers do not like when people go to those places and take stuff. especially since the building usually suffers more damage when people go looking for stuff to take.
But why?, why leave that stuff to rot away, as long as its not in a condition where its falling apart, biohazardous, run by a criminal group, that kind of thing.
Besides we know items like some dr who episodes and that other one, that silent one about that nun found in an abandoned mental hospital, who knows what else could be in these places.

because abandoned buildings are already dangerous to traverse. you risk making it more dangerous for future travellers. especially if you don't know if/where books and other media are. you may end up destroying some of the last fully in tact parts of abandoned buildings, and you wouldn't stop at one. you would risk damaging ALL abandoned buildings, for what? the chance that *maybe* you find something lost?
I don't think lost media is worth destroying abandoned buildings to find. and you cannot guarantee you won't accidentally break something or add to the decay. especially since lost media is not guaranteed to be found there.
not to mention a lot of abandoned building travellers don't want the public to know where these abandoned buildings are. even if we were to conduct searches in buildings that were safe and disturbed nothing but the books/movies, we can't guarantee that location vandals won't target it, or use us to find these places.
I think there is more of risk than just destroying buildings, there is risk of the person going there getting hurt or killed, I dont recommend going unless its a fully intact safe building. But I think we can put aside the safety of the building and its items aside considering no one has taken claim to it. Also I never once said its a guarantee lost media will be found there, plus like you're telling me say disney abandoned their headquarters, it wont happen but just say in a theoretical scenario they just abandoned ship and left all their film and television there for the taking you wouldnt want to at least look inside out of curiousity as long as the building is safe?

I never said you said anything about guaranteed I said I don't wanna risk it since there is no guarantee. and abandoned places owned by companies like disney have already been vandalized to hell and back, anything left may already be taken/destroyed.

That is never going to happen.
