Might have found the bootleg we are looking for. link
If you guys want, I could buy it and see if it has the cut scenes.
link doesn't work edit: it's working now. it's pretty cheap I don't see why not, although based on some of the text I have a feeling it's Cantonese dub
I also found many animator demo reels on Vimeo last night, but I could not view most of them since I don't have an account. I could link them here to somebody who does.

Sometimes users make two listings for the same item on two different sites. Also, I know how to view videos that are locked behind making an account.
things to remember when trying to find the old bootleg: not every Chinese copy is a bootleg, and some of them are Chinese sub while others are dubbed. an English version with subtitles is what were after
also, I'm pretty sure my copy's cover featured Roddie hanging off the flush button which is a promo image rather than the official release covers
Huh, I own an old DVD copy (OG 2006 release) of Over the Hedge myself. Yet the Flushed Away trailer I see on there was different and didn't have the hamster characters.
I am American so maybe it's a regional thing and that's probably why I'm very surprised to just discover this.
It's the same on my copy. The preview on my version is instead one that opens with a "78% of household accidents happen in one particular room" line, and erroneously refers to the characters as "mice."

You know what, I feel like we’re just gonna have to reach out to crew members on the film about this, I feel like the thing of people mentioning certain bootleg copies being an alternate cut where these characters are present is nothing more than a myth.

Yep. We should definitely contact the animators to see if they have it.

Until I (or another person looking for it) has found a proper bootleg copy of Flushed Away circa 2006 and I have seen if it has the version or not, I wouldn't say so.
I have found some videos of animation reels of Dreamworks movies, including Flushed Away on Vimeo, but nobody seems to wang the links (I cannot watch them since I do not have an account, I could make one, but I do not like making accounts for sites I will use only once)
