Before it was torn down in the late 1980s for being unsafe, there was a large old farmhouse dating back to the 1700s at least, which my great-grandfather bought in 1928 after getting married to my great-grandmother. All their children were born and lived there. My great-grandparents moved in 1961 after my great-grandfather retired from farming and sold the farm. As a child, my grandfather told me stories of when he was a child, going into their orchard and seeing an apple float in the air by itself. As a child, I never really paid much attention to his stories of when he was a child, and wish now that I had.
One of my great-aunts even mentioned to me that she heard what sounded like footsteps on the upper floor of the house but no one was there except her. A few years ago I got a book detailing the history of the area and the people who lived there and it mentioned these strange goings on at the farm house, including a supposed ghost in the orchard, footsteps being heard in the upper floor of the house when no one was there except one person and also on some dark nights, people had heard what sounded like a carriage and horses hooves coming up the driveway into the farm courtyard. That made me think that what they told me was true.
One day I was contacted by the son of a man who bought the farm from my great-grandparents. He said he grew up there and heard the footsteps and saw a grate in the fireplace move by itself on more than one occasion.

This one I never heard of my whole life. Some bottomless pit named "Mel's hole." ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Also when I was a kid we had a lecture in school on gang violence and we were taught that if you wore red, white, and blue on the streets you have a high chance of getting shot. (gang colors)

Grew up hearing about La Llorona a lot as a kid. She drowned her kids in the river because the guy she was dating didn't want kids, he was horrified when she told him, she drowned herself in the river, and St. Peter told her she couldn't pass until she found her kids' souls. So now she wanders the river at night, snagging children up she believes to be her's.

Not really a local legend, but there was a tale that spread in my school about this being we called Crow Guy. He was just some humanoid figure, cloaked in an inconspicuous dark hoodie and jeans, and the thing was he's always be sitting on a bench, feeding the crows. If you walked up to him or disturbed him in some way, he'd stick his hands out at you and all the crows would attack you. Scared the crap out of me back in the day, but now I think it's a fascinating concept and I want to do something with it, make a story of it or something.
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."

There's an angel statue in a cemetery not too far from where I live that is said to be cursed. When it was first erected, it was a golden-bronze color, but it has turned black due to oxidation. There are multiple legends that give a more supernatural explanation to the angel turning black. Some say it's due to the sins of the person buried there, while others say it was because the person buried under it was murdered. It is also said that the statue kills people. Some say if you touch it on Halloween at midnight, you die soon. Others say that any girl kissed near it under moonlight will die soon. One legend says that kissing the statue causes instant death.
