I recently stumbled across a very old YouTube video with very few views featuring a mysterious song that the uploader could not identify. ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=azQ7tUqk5js ) This song piqued my interest in the way of its instrument usage, hilariously off-key-but-charming vocals, and of course; because it was completely unidentified with zero clue about who the artist is. I tried searching up the best lyrics I could make out, and shazam’d it, but nothing came up no matter what, so I went to watzatsong and posted it there, in hopes of garnering attention to the search I wanna create, because it’d be neat to identify this song.
According to the uploaded of the video 10 years ago, they found this song in their iTunes account titled “Track 01” with no other information attached, so they decided to upload it to YouTube in hopes of someone identifying it (and look how that turned out, lol)
They also gave a thought that this would likely be from a Tallahassee band from the 90s/00s.
Here are some lyrics i can make out, up to before the second long instrumental part: “lately I’ve been finding memories, of a different place in/and time, where I sought out (___), when I still grew my lives, like fireworks on pavement, the pointless endless drives, ___ ___ ___, and (___) from inside, wrapped in my mis-___, the (___) killing time, cause’ we believe in nothing, so I tried”
Perhaps the temp-name of this song can be called “Believe in Nothing” I guess
