Since I haven't seen any threads about this, I thought I'd make one. The missing episodes of Doctor Who is possibly one of the most famous cases of lost media ever, and there are even teams dedicated to finding them out there. There was a quite big discovery of episodes in 2013, but sadly none have been found since. It's almost certain that some of the episodes are gone forever, which is a huge loss. I remember the hype around those missing episodes discovered in 2013, and it was an incredible experience to be a fan at the time - it was honestly one of the most exciting things ever.
That said, the chances of finding anything are very, very slim. If someone privately owned one, it would likely be that they'd know how valuable it is and therefore it would've been given in by now already. There are old TV stations, but the chances of them having kept old reels for 50 or so years is almost impossible. Still though, that's what happened the last time, so you never know. Hell, there's been a missing episode discovered in a church of all places. But it's likely that if anyone finds anything, it'll be the search team, and that might not be for a long time - only two missing episodes were discovered between 1992 and 2011.
So, what I'm gonna do is list off what's missing. It's probably not going to be very useful, but it's handy to have for now. This thread could be used for general discussion, or ideally new developments if any are made with the search teams.
