Okay, so this is my first actual interaction with the Lost Media Wiki that wasn't just me repeatedly
binge-reading the entire wiki.
I'm posting this in the Off-topic because I'm not 100% sure it's lost. (I'll explain in a minute, but
first I wanna dump some context here, because who doesn't love details?)
So I know this community is kind of iffy on internet media, but I feel that this has slightly more
significance than a deleted youtube poop.
Nickelodeon Wave Rave was a multi-player online game released in 2000(?) hosted on the Nick website.
Here's what the webpage looks like now.
And here's an mostly functional archived version of it.
Pretty much the only mention of it elsewhere I can find is a portfolio of someone who worked on an
irl promotion of the game.
Oddly enough, to promote the movie Rugrats in Paris, there was a re-skin of the game called Le Food Frenzy
where you played as one of the babies from Rugrats and used food as weapons instead of water pistols.
I became interested in finding info about this game after chasing vague recollections of playing it as a wee one.
(I was born in '96, so memory is fuzzy, especially since I'd have low reading ability at the time.)
Now I get to the kind of embarrassing part. There's the possibility that either of these still play, but they
would require shockwave. Thing is, I don't have shockwave installed, and I've heard bad things about the
security of it, so as a non-tech-wizard, I'd be really wary of trying to download it just to try this out.
Since everyone here seems like a wicked genius about this kind of thing, could someone help me out, so I can
know if this is lost or not.
(I feel like a real dunce asking for help with something that should be so simple to do myself, but?? I need
all ya'll's guidance.)
