These look like they're U-Matic tapes, which were used in media production from the early 70s up until the 00s. Yes, they unquestionably have historical value. Players are available on eBay, of varying states of reliability, for under $500.

I would recommend reaching out to ObsoleteVideo on YouTube for quotes on how much to transfer them, as he has working players.
