So this music video resurfaced... for a song I like...
And I never even knew there WAS a music video for this song!!
Thierry Pastor is a French singer who had a few hits in the 80s. He is mostly a one-hit wonder, and his career was sadly put into a long hiatus after a car accident.
His most famous song, and hit, Le coup de folie ("The strike of madness") has been referenced and mocked by modern comedians. Because of this, a lot of immature comments from their fans can be found in videos of this song.
But Thierry Pastor's singing talent goes beyond that. He has an obvious respect towards great soul, funk and other Black music, from which he takes influence.
His second greatest hit is Sur des musiques noires ("On Black music"):
Mister T Mister Love... everyone knows who is Mr T, but the Mister Love could refer to Jerry Lewis' movie The Nutty Professor from 1963, called in France "Docteur Jerry et Mister Love".
The song has strange lyrics, and this video adds strange visuals... I kinda like it.
