So I actually have a theory too. recently I came across a singer that I thought could've sang EKT. His name is Jermaine Stewart and he had a decent following in the 80s, & I heard his song "Wear Out The Grooves" & it instantly reminded me of EKT.
I have other circumstantial evidence too. He was active in both the 80s, & 90s. Also it's a guy and as some of you may know a video was recently released of an audio technician proving the singer was a boy.

The label on the cassette is way TOO well preserved to really be something from 1989. Unfortunately I think that when the guy digitizes the tape it will be a rickroll or smth like that.
Until then, I recommend you to keep your expectations low.
Yeah my expectations aren’t high because it is somewhat suspicious, but it should be uploaded in a few hours so it may aswell have a chance
Perhaps we could have more luck if we try to guess the part after “Every Move Shows That” It’s very well possible that the song isn’t titled EKT/UM, but instead titled after the second part of the chorus.
So, what are some words that rhyme with motives? notice, explosive, votive, emotive, devoted, corroded
Lyrically, it has to be consistent and rhyme/be compatible with “Everyone Knows That You’ve Got Ulterior Motives”, so after “every move shows that”, there’s likely a slight pause and then a lower-whisper-ish-voice saying something matching with “you’ve got” (potentially something like “you are”?), and then after that, the last part of the chorus has to match with “Ulterior Motives” and “Tell me the Truth”
The second part with the match for UM or TMTT is likely the name of the song if it isn’t Ulterior Motives/EKT, so it’d have to have some emphasis or not be cheap.
So the template would be: “Every move shows that (2 words) _____________ (TMTT-match)”
A quick one I think of is “Every move shows that (placeholder) you fizzled your votive (chances corro-de-did) {{corro-de-did = corroded, slightly different from TMTT to end off the chorus, which is also a potential.)

I've always thought it would go "Every move shows that / Shes got / ulterior motives" and just continue that but I wouldn't be surprised if it was something else entirely.
