Sorry I haven't posted this earlier, my computer was at the shop. But I have found a new lead for Everyone knows that. It has been discussed that the vocals of Everyone Knows That sound similar to the band "Scritti Politti". Well on an obscure channel, someone posted a video 11 years ago with only 500 views named "SCRITTI 128 DEMO". This has similar instruments and when searching the channel for "Everyone knows that", the video shows up. An issue with this lead is that the man who published this demo has over 400 videos and hasn't been active on any social media since 2016. But if anyone knows anything more about this video, the man who published it, or would be willing to investigate further with me, that would be awesome! Thanks!
I was looking around a bit after seeing this post, and ran into something interesting. Found a random video of a song from Scritti Politti, called "Absolute". The synth line in the demo you found matches up perfectly with a sorta synth-bells line in the song that plays throughout. Also, they have a similar sound to them, (although the demo to me feels like chaos to my ears), so the guy who posted the demo most likely had some connection to the Scritti. Heres a link to Absolute so you can hear.
Also, looking through russ's blog page, it seems like he may have dabbled in song-writing, and probably lived in london, where I believe Scritti was as well.

This find is incredible! Thank you so much! I define feel like EKT could be an unreleased/demo song of scritti politti. Again, that's such an awesome find! Thanks!

Also, after hearing a few songs from Scritti, (at least the two i heard) they have a rather distinct sound. And EKT seems to have the exact same insturmentation and sounds to it, so I'm pretty sure EKT is some sort of demo or unreleased track.
So, I was looking around on the EKT subreddit, and a few times Scritti is mentioned, but it's generally been brushed off in those times. It was brought up like two or three times in the span of a year, however no one has seemed to try contacting them. (The one time someone did say "i'll try contacting them" was literally 8 months ago and they never said how it went). I think it would be best to bring this up to the subreddit and ask for someone to try contacting someone from Scritti or just contacting them ourselves to get anywhere, otherwise we might just end up in the endless loop of ' "let me look into it", he said, after never being heard from again'.
*Edit* Also if someone does post about this on the subreddit, they should also include the finding of SCRITTI 128 DEMO and how it connects to the song Absolute, as well as the insturmentation in the demo, since that seems to line up with EKT.
Never heard this theory. They sound strikingly similar, but then again this type of higher male voice was pretty popular back then. Still this shouldn't be ignored. Maybe we should take it to the Fond My Mind Discord Server (the search hub for EKT.)
I've also heard a theory it could be made by someone named "White Mike Johnny Glove"

Possibly have some more helpful info. Carl92 said he recorded the song off tv, so it could be an interview between some of the band members showcasing a demo. I'll look a bit later for some interviews with them, I'll update you guys if I find something.

Yeah, just about every single 'lead' suggested online for bands or people singing it have very similar insturmentation and vocals. To me though Scritti just seems to stand out since it uses very similar gear in that era of songs, (although then again those were the 'popular' and new synths and other things).
Also looking up "White Mike Johnny Glove" i found like one song on there and while the voice matches, the style of insturmentation does not seem to line up (although that may have been just because it was produced before or after EKT)
Also little sidenote, but the static sound in the uncleaned version of EKT really reminded me of when i accidentally had the gain or something on my mic turned up waaaay too much, so whenever I was on a discord call, there was this static that invaded every second of silence. It was horrid.

Yeah afew of johnny gloves songs are available in lower TV quality. Id love to hear the HQ versions.
So I asked on the reddit, and according to the mods, it has been looked into enough that they don't think it is directly from Scritti. Unfortunately, it didn't answer the question on if anyone has actually CONTACTED Scritti before. I didn't find anything like that, but people seem to think it's moreso inspired by Scritti or just that type of music in general.
If anyone still wants to though, it is probably worth it to ask Scritti directly still, if at all possible.

How would one contact them?

Looking deeper into the reddit posts, I was wrong, actually. They did try contacting someone who was from the band (although they weren't in the band around when this was made) but when asked they just said "nope". The lead singer of Scritti dosen't use social media apparently though, unfortunately.
However, if we still wanted to, someone could try to contact their label to see if they could talk to Green (the lead singer), or try asking the person who was asked if they could ask Green. The person who was already asked about EKT was called Rhodri, on the platform formerly known as twitter.
The 128 Demo was still a really cool find, either way! It feels like a hidden piece in itself.
