At our local mall there is an FYE and we will sometimes go there. I remember seeing a movie in the movie aisle there that showed someone putting a worm in a (I think a girl) eye. Growing up I always that this was a little creepy. Each time that we would go to FYE I would secretly see if the movie was still there (I remember seeing 3 more times) I don’t know what the movie was about because only saw the dvd box for it. I believe that the movie was probably a horror movie. I saw this around the years of 2014-2018, it could be older than that.
was it animated or live action? if it was 2d it could have been some creepy intro for a kids movie but that probably isnt the case
I remember it was a real girl. But her face was zoomed in only to her eye. You can kinda see the tweezers holding the worm and the worm already halfway in her eye.

I believe this could be "The Strain", the complete first season DVD/bluray. According to the following website, it was released on December 2nd, 2014, which fits right in your timeframe. I won't embed the picture here because it's (as you recall) quite graphic.
The "worm in eye" pic was used on promotional posters and things, but was yanked because people were (VALIDLY) grossed out. That didn't stop them from slapping it on the front of the 1st Season DVD set though. You can find it on ebay.

This is pretty similar but not exactly what I remember. The worm was not going through the girls eye it was just in it. And the hand was holding the worm by tweezers. And the girl’s mouth was not in sight it was only her eye and the hand and the worm. The girl also seemed a lot calmer and had a kind of neutral facial expression
