Now dont get me wrong, tipping somebody is a nice gesture , but I feel like company's are forcing tips to customers. I saw a reddit post where doordash told them they would have to wait longer for their order if they didn't tip, I don't know if it was real, but if it was, its outrageous. And that one video where the delivery person that told that person F you because they only tipped 5 dollars? I feel like its not worth it anymore, and I feel sad when I dont tip, but its like that was supposed to happen.
When I did Instacart, which is similar in that people are picking orders from an app, the company really underpays you. You get almost next to nothing as a default. Thus, the tips allows the workers to actually get properly paid for the work they are doing.
I remember people would put in huge orders and not tip, which means if you complete it, you would get maybe $9. Mind you that these type of orders may also take an hour or two to complete.
