What time periods and moments in times do you think are under-rated and don't get enough attention? I would say the fact that the Vikings discovered so many different places before anyone else is something that is very overlooked.
I find the period right after the black plague's "end" to be particularly interesting, particularly in regards to the people left behind and their adaptation (s) to a (brief) new order. Yes, I know it's an excuse for history books to jump straight into the Renaissance but like the Renaissance took time to make its way around Europe!
