Do we have any actual physical evidence of the Education Connection song (you know the one) being shown on TV?
I mean, obviously we are in no shortage of eyewitness accounts, but is there any recorded footage on the entire internet of it being a part of a commercial break? Because I've combed through dozens of G4 and TeenNick broadcasts and commercial compilations from the era, and I can't find it. I've found a bunch of other EC ads, even a different song, but never the song people always claim to remember being on "all the time".
Maybe it's just the autistic urge to see a commercial in its original context, but it just bugs me that such an apparently ubiquitous commercial has no accessible footage apart from its self-contained self.
I checked a bunch of those as well. I even ran the phrase "get connected for free" through filmot.com and it didn't give me any results aside from the isolated commercial and some random streamers talking about how it aired all the time. It's maddening.
Okay, I found something. It's not ideal, but it's as close as I'm gonna get. Somebody taped the song right off their tv, and it's poorly framed and low-quality but I must reiterate that this is the only evidence that I can find. If anyone can find any better quality compilation with the song in it, be my guest.
